The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is designed for certified divers who want to build experience, improve confidence, and explore new types of diving in a safe and structured way. Through a combination of adventure dives and practical skill development, you’ll become more comfortable underwater while learning how to handle different diving environments and conditions.
During the course, you’ll complete a selection of guided dives focused on expanding your abilities. Core dives include Deep Diving and Underwater Navigation, while additional adventure dives may include Night Diving, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Drift Diving, Fish Identification, or Underwater Photography depending on conditions and interests.
The course is flexible and typically completed over 2 to 3 days.
Day 1 — Orientation & Adventure Dives
Meet your instructor, review equipment and course materials, and begin your first adventure dives. You’ll start practicing underwater navigation techniques and buoyancy improvements while gaining confidence in different diving conditions.
Day 2 — Deep Diving & Skill Development
Focus shifts toward deeper dives and advanced diving procedures. You’ll learn about depth limits, underwater awareness, air management, and safety planning while exploring deeper sections of the reef.
Optional Day 3 — Specialty Experiences
Depending on your selected dives and schedule, the final day may include additional adventure dives such as Night Diving, Drift Diving, or Underwater Photography, allowing you to tailor the experience to your interests.
