Boat Trip to Mahmya Island

Spend a full day exploring one of the Red Sea’s most popular island destinations with a relaxing boat trip from Sahl Hasheesh to Mahmya Island. Known for its white sandy beaches, crystal-clear water, and calm atmosphere, Mahmya offers the perfect escape for guests looking to enjoy the sea beyond the shoreline.

The day begins with a transfer to the marina, where guests board the boat and cruise across the Red Sea toward Giftun Island National Park. Along the way, you can relax on deck, enjoy panoramic sea views, and take in the peaceful surroundings before arriving at the island.

Mahmya is especially popular for its shallow turquoise water and protected coral reefs. Guests can spend time swimming, relaxing on the beach, or snorkeling directly from the shore in calm and clear conditions suitable for all experience levels.

Most trips also include snorkeling stops at nearby reef locations, giving guests the opportunity to explore colorful coral formations and marine life in the Red Sea. Snorkeling equipment is typically available onboard, and the experience is suitable for beginners as well as confident swimmers.

A freshly prepared lunch and refreshments are usually included during the excursion, allowing guests to fully enjoy the relaxed island atmosphere throughout the day.

In the afternoon, the boat returns to the marina while guests unwind on deck and enjoy the final views of the Red Sea coastline before transferring back to Sahl Hasheesh.

What to Expect

Day 1 — Orientation & Adventure Dives

Meet your instructor, review equipment and course materials, and begin your first adventure dives. You’ll start practicing underwater navigation techniques and buoyancy improvements while gaining confidence in different diving conditions.

Day 2 — Deep Diving & Skill Development

Focus shifts toward deeper dives and advanced diving procedures. You’ll learn about depth limits, underwater awareness, air management, and safety planning while exploring deeper sections of the reef.

Optional Day 3 — Specialty Experiences

Depending on your selected dives and schedule, the final day may include additional adventure dives such as Night Diving, Drift Diving, or Underwater Photography, allowing you to tailor the experience to your interests.
